RLA rests all ministry on the following four core values. These are beliefs that produce measurable, behavioral changes in us.
God is GOOD, so we make kind connections
“The Lord is good and does what is right; he shows the proper path to those who go astray. He leads the humble in doing right, teaching them his way.” Psalms 25:8-9
God can do ANYTHING, so we pray about everything with anyone.
“For with God nothing will be impossible.” (Luke 1:37)
The cross covers EVERYTHING, so we invite others into Kingdom relatioships.
“The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon. He told me him, “We have found the Messiah.” Messiah means Christ, and he brought Simon to Jesus. John 1:41-42
Every person MATTERS, so we discover, develop, and use our gifts in ministry.
“He makes the whole body grow and build itself up in love. Under the control of Christ, each part of the body does its work. It supports the other parts. In that way, the body is joined and held together.” Ephesians 4:16

The core beliefs of River of Life align with the Sixteen Fundamental Truths of the Assemblies of God. We invite you to explore our beliefs and join us in our pursuit of living out our faith in boldness and passion.
The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct.
We believe that God eternally exists in three Persons—the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit-and that these three are one God, having the same nature, attributes, and perfections, and worthy of the same worship, reverence and obedience.
We believe Jesus, the eternal Son of God, took upon Himself the form of a man by means of the virgin birth, lived a sinless life, yet retained His absolute deity, being at the same time very God and very man.
We believe man was created in the image of God, but sinned and fell through disobedience, and that the entire human race shares in man's lost and depraved nature.
Man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, the son of God. Salvation is received through repentance toward God and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ.
Baptism in Water- The ordinance of the baptism is commanded by the Scriptures. All who repent and believe on Christ as Saviour and Lord are to be baptized. Thus they declare to the world that they have died with Christ and that they also have been raised with Him to walk in newness of life.
Holy Communion- The Lord's Supper, consisting of the elements --bread and the fruit of the vine-- is the symbol expressing our sharing the divine nature of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 1:4 ), a memorial of his suffering and death (1 Corinthians 11:26 ), and a prophecy of His second coming
(1 Corinthians 11:26), and is enjoined on all believers "till He come!"
We believe the Holy Spirit is the Promise of the Father, the Comforter who indwells and places every believer in the Body of Christ, bestows spiritual gifts upon the Church and convicts the world of sin and the judgment to come.
The baptism of believers in the Holy Spirit is witnessed by the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives them utterance.
The speaking in tongues in this instance is the same in essence as the gift of tongues, but is different in purpose and use.
Sanctification is an act of separation from that which is evil, and of dedication unto God.
The Church is the Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of her great commission. Each believer, born of the Spirit, is an integral part of the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn, which are written in heaven.
Involvement in ministry in response to a divine calling is scripturally ordained in the Bible.
Divine healing is an integral part of the gospel. Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement, and is the privilege of all believers.
The resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord is the imminent and blessed hope of the church.
The second coming of Christ includes the rapture of the saints, which is our blessed hope, followed by the visible return of Christ with His saints to reign on earth for one thousand years.
There will be a final judgment in which the wicked dead will be raised and judged according to their works. Whosoever is not found written in the Book of Life, together with the devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, will be consigned to the everlasting punishment in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.
"We, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness."
We can’t wait to meet you!!
